Bougie girl Going Down

8/24-8/25 So just when we thought we were “almost there”, all HELL broke loose. And thinking we were “arriving” turned into a whole different adventure. And to top it off, all communication went to hell and Starlink went down as did any semblance of my bougie self. 🤪 Ha Meanwhile, we had no clue that national news was scaring the crap out of family members and friends with the reports. I’m guessing you on this blog already knew this…And we are sorry to worry anyone of course. But we were honestly lucky because we got stopped short of the campground before the worst of it ( they closed the gates 2 times) and with the Sprinter van we were able to sleep pretty comfortably. Only real challenge was being patient and not getting too bored. But the people who attend this thing certainly helped with this. 😂 It was truly a small foreshadowing of what was to come! We literally had some guy in a car next to us deliver a fake mustache! 🤷‍♀️ And there was juggling…

When we finally arrived we set up our spot and ventured out on a quick bike ride to just survey the scene a bit. And the scene honestly is indescribable. I keep saying I wish I had a GoPro to wear while biking because there’s just so much to see. After that bike ride we got back and continued to set things up right before another rain storm hit. And we made it to a close by “dance party” for about 20 minutes but as much as we tried, we couldn’t find energy to make it out for what is clearly a crazy night scene here. Just too long of a 24 hours! But today was a new day- wait what day is it again? Ha And I’ll talk more about that in the next post… Here are some photos and videos to capture.
