And we’re off! Kinda….

We were supposed to leave Friday 8/15 but as always (at least with me) things take longer than you think! But we made it! After a busy day of wrapping up details at home, stocking up on groceries and making sure Ross’ knee was ready for life on the road on Friday, we were finally off and driving by noon on Saturday… Taking the northern route plan a bit to the extreme, our first stop was the Finger Lake region, and it did not disappoint. And we were even greeted by a rainbow as we got closer to our first destination reassuring me my special guardian angels are close for sure.  ☺️ Here are a few photos from the long 8 hour road trip, our first stay at a campground and my first experience with a campground shower/bath and then a beautiful hike at a popular Watkins Glen state park.  Dashy has been settling in nicely. And so far this “bougie” girl (Ross’ fav description of me) has emerged unscathed! 😜 oh and look who I brought along for my adventures. 🙃
